Getting there

The Azores islands are located in the Atlantic Ocean, 1,400 kilometres from Lisbon. João Paulo II Airport on São Miguel offers flights to all other islands in the archipelago, as well as Lisbon, Porto, Faro on the Portuguese mainland. Ferries are a fast and affordable way to travel between the islands. Rental cars offer the freedom to explore individual islands at your own pace.
